DANIEL ROTH caliber 1270 – Hybrid meca-quartz chronograph watch movement for “Lunette Tournante” reference 747.L.10.600.

Meca-Quartz is a pioneering family of hybrid quartz movements from Frédéric Piguet.

Megaquartz movements were characterized by their use of dual crystals and a hybrid quartz and mechanical design. The two quartz crystals operated at different frequencies, 1 KHz and 16 KHz. This gave very high precision timekeeping. These movements were not thermocompensated.
