The Montega MC 01 was launched in the 2000s.
The watch was designed by the famous Lebanese jewelry designer Marc Chatila, president of the Swiss – Geneva based – Montega company, and is a piece of technical avant-garde with a very sophisticated construction. The 44 mm watch case is made of 40 different elements all assembled by screws, without any soldering.
The 57 Jewels high precision calibre 2047 specialized module was developed by the renowned Swiss chronograph modules manufacturer Dubois-Depraz, exclusively for Montega, and it is combined with the automatic ETA 2892-A2. All the movements of this series of Montega watches are COSC chronometer certified.
The watch was produced in a very limited edition.
The MOP dial has 3 encircled counters (seconds at 3:00, minute at 9:00, hour at 6:00 position), with “spear tip” luminova hands.
The oscillating weight is decorated with Côtes de Genève and blue enamel etching.
The caterpillar style stainless steel bracelet is made from sophisticated designed screwed tubes.
The whole upper side of the watch and the bezel are covered in 210 brilliant-cut real diamonds.
Two extra dials included, in white and dark blue.
The watch is in a very good condition, it comes from a private collection and it has no original box or papers.
The watch maintenance history is unknown. The watch is working and keeping a pretty accurate time, but as for any vintage or used watch, a basic revision is recommended.
