Chronoshop began, and continues, as a liquidation operation. Since 2018 we have sourced inventory from closing watchmaker workshops, retired dealers, and collectors who have accumulated more than they have time to sell individually. We are not retailers who cherry-pick the attractive pieces and return the rest. When we agree on a lot, we take it as it stands.

What we acquire

Our interests are broad. The common thread is that the parts must be genuine — manufacturer-original components, honestly described. We are not interested in aftermarket assemblies sold as originals, and we will identify them.

• Complete watchmaker workshop stocks — movements, tools, parts, supplies, the entire bench
• NOS and deadstock collections — unused manufacturer parts still in their original packaging or stored correctly
• Mixed estate lots from watchmakers or serious collectors, regardless of how sorted they are
• Single-brand archives — decades of accumulated service parts for Rolex, Omega, Longines, Patek Philippe, and most Swiss houses
• Large unsorted lots that generalist buyers, auction houses, or online marketplaces cannot handle efficiently
• Individual pieces of documented rarity, by prior arrangement

Condition is relevant but not a barrier. Parts that have spent forty years in a drawer are still parts. We know how to assess storage wear, lume aging, and the difference between cosmetic imperfection and functional damage.

Who sells to us

Most of our acquisitions come from a small number of recurring situations.

• Watchmakers retiring or closing their practice — decades of accumulated service inventory that has no natural buyer in the local market
• Families managing a watchmaker's estate — collections and tools that have passed to heirs who have no connection to the trade
• Dealers and distributors clearing obsolete or discontinued inventory — parts that are no longer supported by manufacturer networks
• Collectors downsizing — acquired over years, now more than can reasonably be sold piece by piece
• Auction houses and liquidators with watch-related lots too granular for their format

What we can promise

An honest assessment. If a lot does not interest us, we say so — and we explain why, so you know where to look next. We do not make lowball offers designed to be declined; our reputation for fair dealing is how we continue to source.

We handle estate situations and business closures with discretion. These are sensitive moments and we treat them as such. We do not require you to present a perfectly catalogued inventory before we will talk — a description and a few photographs is enough to begin.

Payment is agreed before collection and transferred promptly. No consignment arrangements, no deferred settlement, no commission structures. A price is a price.
