Overview
This is an original OMEGA Calibre 1152 automatic chronograph movement, used in Speedmaster Date models from the mid-1990s onward. The movement is based on the robust Valjoux 7750 architecture, modified and finished by Omega to their specifications. It is presented as a complete, non-cased movement assembly, suitable for collectors, restorers, or watchmakers sourcing a direct replacement for a Speedmaster Date model.
The movement features a classic 7750 layout with subdials at 6, 9, and 12 o’clock, a central chronograph seconds hand, and a date window at 3 o’clock. The finishing includes overlapping circular patterns known as “œil-de-perdrix” on the plates and bridges, with the oscillating weight decorated with “Cotes de Geneve” stripes and engraved with Ω | OMEGA | 1152. The OMEGA Calibre 1152 is an automatic chronograph movement with a lever escapement, 25 jewels, and a mono-metallic balance. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and is equipped with an Incabloc shock absorber system. The movement is built on a three-plate brass base with a cam-controlled chronograph mechanism and a conventional integrated automatic winding system that winds in one direction.
The chronograph layout has small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, and a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock. The date function is displayed via a window at 3 o’clock, using a disc with white numbers on a black background. This is a date-only module, not a day-date. The movement is marked with 25 JEWELS | TWENTY-FIVE | SWISS and Ω | 1152 on the main plate. It features an Etachron regulator and a balance spring stud for precise adjustment.

This Calibre 1152 is the correct original movement for specific OMEGA Speedmaster Date models produced from approximately 1995. It is a direct fit for watches designed around this calibre and its Valjoux 7750 base.
