Section 01 · Origin
Two dispatch points
Chronoshop operates two shipping origins. Orders destined for Switzerland and non-EU countries are dispatched from Geneva. Orders destined for EU member states are dispatched from France via La Poste Colissimo — which means the parcel travels entirely within the EU and arrives at your door without import duties, customs clearance, or VAT surcharges at the border.
Every parcel is hand-packed at the bench using purpose-fit materials: anti-static foam for movements, rigid padded boxes for cases, archival sleeves for dials and crystals.
Section 02 · Carriers
Who carries the parcels
Carrier selection depends on destination:
- Switzerland domestic · Swiss Post tracked (A-Post / B-Post)
- European Union · La Poste Colissimo, dispatched from France · end-to-end tracking
- United States, Canada, rest of world · Swiss Post International, DHL, or FedEx — selected per destination and timeline
A tracking number is sent by email at the moment of dispatch in all cases.
Section 03 · Zones and rates
What it costs
Standard zones and rates (in CHF):
- Switzerland · CHF 12 · 1–2 working days
- European Union · CHF 20 · 3–5 working days · no import duties
- United States · CHF 25 · 4–7 working days
- Rest of world · CHF 30 · 5–12 working days
Shipping is complimentary on orders above CHF 500.
Section 04 · Customs
Duties and import taxes
European Union: because EU orders ship from France, they are domestic EU shipments. No import duties, no customs declaration, no VAT surcharge at the border. What you pay at checkout is what you pay, full stop.
Switzerland domestic: no customs applicable.
All other destinations: the recipient is responsible for any customs duties, import VAT, or local taxes. Chronoshop declares every parcel at its full insured value. Under-declaration is not offered under any circumstances.
Section 05 · Insurance
What is covered in transit
Every Chronoshop shipment is insured for its full declared value at our cost. If a parcel is lost, damaged, or stolen in transit, we resolve the claim with the carrier and dispatch a replacement where stock allows, or refund the order in full. The buyer bears no transit risk.
