This is an original TAG Heuer watch case for the Carrera Calibre 5, reference WV211M. The case is crafted from stainless steel and is supplied in new, unused condition. It is graded Excellent in our Condition Grading Scale below.
The Carrera line was introduced in 1963, named for the Carrera Panamericana road race, and remains a central pillar of TAG Heuer’s sports watch collection. This specific case belongs to the modern interpretation of the Carrera, designed to house the Calibre 5 automatic movement. The case assembly is complete with its front sapphire crystal, flat sapphire case back crystal, and fixed bezel. A crown is not included.
This new case provides a definitive solution for restoring a damaged or worn Carrera WV211M to its original factory specification. It is an authentic TAG Heuer component, identical to the case fitted at the time of manufacture, allowing for a complete exterior restoration using genuine parts.
Specifications
This is the complete main case assembly for the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5, reference WV211M. The case diameter measures approximately 39 mm, not including the crown. It is made from stainless steel with a combination of polished and brushed finishes. The assembly includes the monobloc middle case, the fixed bezel, the front sapphire crystal, and the flat sapphire case back crystal. The case back is marked TAG HEUER, CARRERA, CALIBRE 5, AUTOMATIC, and WV211M. The case is engineered for a standard push-pull crown, which is not part of this offering.
Compatibility
This case is designed exclusively for TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 models bearing the official reference WV211M. It will accept the original Calibre 5 movement, dial, and hands from a donor watch of the same reference. For a complete restoration, you will need to source a compatible crown, case back gasket, crystal gaskets, and a movement holder ring specific to the WV211M reference. It is not compatible with other Carrera models or references.
