This is a complete 39 mm watch case assembly for the TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11, a model first introduced in 1969 as one of the world’s first automatic chronograph watches. The Monaco’s square case design, originally crafted for the Heuer brand before the TAG merger, remains one of the most recognizable in horology due to its bold geometry and motorsport heritage.
This case is made from 316L stainless steel with a combination of brushed and polished finishes, replicating the original factory specifications. The assembly includes the case middle, fixed bezel, sapphire crystal, screw-down case-back, crown, chronograph pushers, and all case screws. The case-back features a sapphire exhibition window, while the crown is signed with the historic Heuer logo—consistent with pre-1985 production models. All components are original TAG Heuer service parts, intended for refurbishment or restoration of the same reference.
Condition is graded Excellent in our Condition Grading Scale below, with no visible signs of wear, oxidation, or tool marks. The sapphire crystal is free of scratches, and all threads (crown, case-back, pusher tubes) are intact. This assembly does not include a movement, dial, hands, or strap—only the case components listed in the specifications.
Diameter: 39 mm (excluding crown). Lug-to-lug distance: 40.5 mm. Lug width: 22 mm, compatible with standard Monaco straps and bracelets from the Calibre 11/12 series. Case thickness: 14.5 mm (including crystal and case-back). Material: 316L stainless steel with brushed vertical surfaces and polished chamfers. Crystal: flat sapphire with anti-reflective coating on the underside, original TAG Heuer specification. Case-back: screw-down, exhibition-style with sapphire window. Water resistance: 100 meters (10 ATM), as marked on the case-back.
Engravings and markings:
The crown and chronograph pusher tubes are press-fit and secured with gaskets. Case-back uses six cross-head screws (included) with threaded inserts in the case middle. All components match the original 1133B/1133G Monaco Calibre 11 specifications, including the 9 o’clock crown position and asymmetrical pusher layout.
Designed for TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 models. The 22 mm lug width accepts all Monaco straps and the original “McQueen” perforated leather strap.
This full case assembly provides a factory-correct replacement for restoring a TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 to original specifications, using authentic components with period-correct markings.
Yes, the dimensions and pusher/crown positions match the re-edition Calibre 11 models. However, the case-back engraving reads “SWISS MADE SINCE 1860,” which differs from the modern “TAG Heuer” signature. Functionally, it will fit the movement and dial.
No. This listing is for the case assembly only, including crystal, case-back, crown, pushers, and screws. No internal components (movement, dial, hands) are included.
The case is marked and tested for 100 meters (10 ATM) water resistance, provided the crystal, gaskets, and case-back are properly sealed. Re-sealing by a watchmaker is recommended after installation.
The crown is marked with the historic HEUER logo in relief. The pushers are unsigned, matching the original Calibre 11 specifications.
No. The crown and pusher positions are fixed in the original right-handed layout (crown at 9 o’clock, pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock).
